Principal Fellows Program
Purpose:
Provides support to a 2 year scholarship loan to selected recipients to persons eligible to be school administrators in the public schools of the state. Determines criteria, etc. for selection
Membership:
12 members appointed for four year terms as follows: 1 member from the UNC Board of Governors, 1 member of the SBE, 2 deans from schools of ed appointed by the UNC President, 1 teacher appointed by the Senate President Pro Tem, 1 principal appointed by the Speaker of the House, 1 local superintendent appointed by the State Supt., 1 business and industry rep appointed by the Governor, 1 local school board member appointed by the chair of the SBE, the chairperson of the State Education Assistance Authority, and the director of the Principal Fellows Program.
